What an odd little horror story. I now wonder what librarian crossed Gillian Flynn. Here's an excerpt:
"What do you do? I'd say, I'm in customer service, which was true. To me, it's a nice day's work when you make a lot of people smile. I know that sounds too earnest, but it's true. I mean, I would rather be a librarian, but I worry about the job security. Books may be temporary; but dicks are forever."
Fantastic! The story started out a bit slow, but eventually I was a whirling dervish turning the pages as fast as possible and spending all my free time reading to find out what would happen next. The story centers on Emma Carstairs and the Blackthorne children. Dark magic is afoot, bodies are appearing with strange possibly demonic writing all over them and they may have a connection to the murder of Emma's parents. A powerful mysterious person is trying to bring a loved one back from the dead. Can the teenage shadowhunters find the murderer and save Mark from the wild hunt? Read on to find out. Another great trilogy? focusing on a different facet of the Shadowhunter world. Can you tell I loved it!?
